U2 are scheduled to play a free concert at the Brandenburg Gate in order to mark 20 years since the crash of the Berlin Wall.

U2 are being picked on in Ireland
Life is not always easy on the rich, according to the U2 bandmembers. U2 drummer Larry Mullen thinks rich and successful people are being unnnecessarily humiliated at Dublin Airport, going in and out of the country. He thinks the resentment extends throughout Ireland though, and that the treatment at the airport is “part of a new resentment of rich people in this country”.
Bono rejects Apple for U2 360 world tour
U2′S Bono has hooked up with Research in Motion (RIM) to produce something special for the BlackBerry during U2’s coming 360 world tour. Apple missed the opportunity to promote the iPhone, with Bono saying RIM were more interesting for the band.

Could this tour be the last for U2? Despite the fact that U2 Tickets are hard to come by – they recently sold out 90000 seats in Barcelona in 54 minutes – some in the band feel that going out on top is preferable to going out on a downward curve.
Bono stated recently that he and his bandmates – guitarist The Edge, drummer Larry Mullen Jr. and bassist Adam Clayton – are determined to enjoy their upcoming world tour because they fear it could be their last.

U2 have signed up to be the house band on David Letterman’s US chat show for a five nights in a row on the Late Show. The world famous Irish quartet will be the musical guests from March 2-6 on the CBS late night talk show. This is the first time the program has ever had a single act for so many consecutive evenings.

New Album U2 Is On the Horizon!
We have had to wait for it for a long time: U2’s last album “How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb” was released in 2004. Finally, the rock band’s 12th studio album “No Line on the Horizon” has been announced. The album has been recorded in Fez, Morocco; Dublin, Ireland and New York and London.
U2 has not yet confirmed rumours of tour dates this summer. They will however definitely be performing at ‘We Are One: The Obama Inaugural Celebration at the Lincoln Memorial’ on January 18th, joining a stellar line up of artists. These include Beyonce, John Legend, Bruce Springsteen, Shakira, Mary J. Blige and Usher. Don’t miss it!
