Eminem, Marshall Matters, or ‘The Slim Shady’ is back in business after having performed his first concert in four years! The free concert took place in Eminem’s hometown Detroit and attracted hundreds of devoted fans. He performed songs from his new album Relapse, which is the successor to the 2004 album Encore. “Crack a Bottle”, the first single of the new album has already hit a record high since it has been downloaded more times than any other song ever in its first week of release! The single is currently number four in the UK singles chart and the new album will probably end up at number one in the album charts. An Eminem tour is certainly to be expected! Depeche Mode – who released their new album ‘Sounds Of The Universe’ on April 20 announced today the details of a short winter tour, following shows this summer – of the UK and Ireland.

U2 have signed up to be the house band on David Letterman’s US chat show for a five nights in a row on the Late Show. The world famous Irish quartet will be the musical guests from March 2-6 on the CBS late night talk show. This is the first time the program has ever had a single act for so many consecutive evenings.
Juanes and wife Expecting third Child – Touring on Hold
Columbian Rocker, Juan Esteban Aristizábal Vásquez best known as Juanes – and his wife Karen Martinez are expecting their third child! The couple has been married since 2004 and already have two daughters, Paloma and Luna. But the great news about another child unfortunately also means Juanes will not be touring for a while.
New Album U2 Is On the Horizon!
We have had to wait for it for a long time: U2’s last album “How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb” was released in 2004. Finally, the rock band’s 12th studio album “No Line on the Horizon” has been announced. The album has been recorded in Fez, Morocco; Dublin, Ireland and New York and London.
U2 has not yet confirmed rumours of tour dates this summer. They will however definitely be performing at ‘We Are One: The Obama Inaugural Celebration at the Lincoln Memorial’ on January 18th, joining a stellar line up of artists. These include Beyonce, John Legend, Bruce Springsteen, Shakira, Mary J. Blige and Usher. Don’t miss it!
