What € 4,000,000 of cosmetic surgery will get you…The Bride of Wildenstein
Jocelyn Wildenstein, nee Jocelynnys Dayannys da Silva Bezerra, sometimes referred to as the “Lion Queen” or “Cat Woman,” is a wealthy Swiss socialite who has frequently graced the tabloid press due to her numerous and thoroughly revolting cosmetic surgeries. Wildenstein’s appearance has led to the press giving her the nickname “The Bride of Wildenstein”, a reference to The Bride of Frankenstein.
Wildenstein has reportedly spent €4,000,000 on cosmetic surgery over the years.
Wildenstein was born to a Jewish middle class family of remote Brazilian descent and is allegedly a lover of exotic animals… she kept a capuchin monkey which traveled with her and her husband on their private jet, as well as a five Italian greyhounds.
The Bride of Wildenstein has received several silicone injections to the lips, cheek, and chin along with a facelift and eye reconstruction to appear more “cat-like”. Her eyes were ripped up and back, giving them a more feline shape – hence why she has been given the nickname “the real Catwoman”
After many years of marriage, Jocelyn’s husband Alec Wildenstein allegedly began an affair and in response, around the age of 50, she began undergoing a series of plastic surgery operations. Divorce proceedings were eventually initiated, but neither partner would agree to vacate the New York townhouse that was their primary home, and they drew up a plan splitting the premises. The Bride of Wildenstein found her pod of servants reduced to a single one… and she was denied access to the private jet. Eventually, she sued Alec for €200 million, plus tens of millions in art and homes. She also demanded montly support of €200,000.
According to court records of the divorce proceedings, her ex-husband stated, “I couldn’t even recognize my own wife up close – she seems to think that you fix a face the same way you fix a house.”
Jocelyn was ultimately awarded tens of millions in the divorce and she also auctioned an estimated €10 million of jewelry and eventually devoted herself to New York social life.
Hey... Great to see you back!
